The arch is an amazingly strong structure that has been used in architecture for thousands of years. The shape of the arch bridge effectively transfers the downward weight of its load horizontally into the abutments on either end. Our Arch Bridge provides children with the opportunity to build their very own structure that is strong enough to support the weight of an adult. It includes construction forms that hold the blocks in the proper position until the keystone is placed at which time the forms can be removed. Plenty of grip tape on the bridge surface and a sturdy railing make this exhibit as safe as it is educational and fun!
